The Chevrolet Nova has a rich history spanning five generations, from 1962-1979 and 1985 through 1988. According to Old Ride, the 1968 model featured in the video underwent a complete redesign, including an 111-inch wheelbase and a separate sub-frame to house the powertrain and front suspension. This sub-frame had been previously introduced on the Camaro.

The 1968 Chevrolet Nova offered buyers a choice of 15 powertrain setups for the coupes and twelve for the sedans. Buyers could also select from various optional features, such as power brakes and steering, air conditioning, rear shoulder belts, and head restraints.

During 1968-1970, a 2.51L four-cylinder engine was available, but due to low demand, it was eventually discontinued. The more popular options were the 4.64L V8 and the 5.36L with four-barrel quadrajet carb and four-speed Saginaw transmission. Mid-year, a semi-automatic transmission was introduced for those who preferred clutchless driving, but it was only available on the four and six-cylinder models.

The video showcases an excellent specimen of the Chevrolet Nova. Witness the stunning beauty and hear the roar of the powerful engine, and don’t forget to share if you like it!
