You may recall the 1970 Dodge Challenger T/A, which we previously featured in a brief article while it was undergoing maintenance at Matt Gause Garage. We now have the complete story, including a thrilling ride along, to share with you.

Norm Vander Veen has a fascinating story about his T/A Challenger. The Cream DY3 exterior paired with the Saddle-Tan H6T5 interior makes for a stunningly rare combination. The powerful 340 Six Pack small block engine gives off a healthy growl that any car enthusiast can appreciate. Additionally, the iconic Mopar Pistol Grip shifter is still intact, adding to the car’s allure.

With only 63,000 original miles on the odometer, the 1970 Dodge Challenger T/A doesn’t see much street action these days. However, that’s probably the only way to maintain a 53-year-old Mopar and win Survivor awards at car shows. Despite its age, this muscle car is still a head-turner and far from perfect – but that’s part of its charm.
Despite not driving the T/A Challenger very often, Norm doesn’t resort to trailering it. The powerful 340 Six Pack engine needs to stretch its muscle on the road. In fact, he recently gave Lou a ride in the car during a video shoot, so be sure to watch until the end to see this beautiful muscle car in action.
